About Us

The history of Psycho Garbage

Psycho Garbage began its unlikely journey during our third year on the acting course at the University of Central Lancashire, where we devised our first (and at this point in time only) show, FEELING HAUNTED? After a handful of performances for our peers, we took the show to the 2021 Greater Manchester Fringe, where we were met with sell out audiences and great reviews!

After the success of the Greater Manchester Fringe, we took the show back into its development stage- hoping to bring you scarier spooks and even bigger laughs than the last time! We performed 'Feeling Haunted?' again for Lancashire Encounter Festival in September. This was met to roaring reviews and very happy and spooked audiences. Who knows what the future may hold for Psycho Garbage...

Our Ethos

As 'Psycho Garbage' emerged from the rubble that was the Covid-19 pandemic, we, as mere babies in this theatrical world were frightened and taken aback by state of the world we were in. This is why we set out to bring laughter, light and escapism into a world of darkness. We believe in championing silliness, and encouraging our audiences to not take life too seriously in these dark, dark times. Our work doesn't challenge you to think or change the way you look at the world, you are only required to enjoy yourself and forget about the scary world outside. We believe in collaboration and providing opportunities to other freshly emerged actors.
